Winner District III
Post 10223 participated with Post 10216 in this program. The "Winner" was Shawn Shoults for VOD and Patriot’s Pen at Post 10216 Post contest and the District.
Total, we gave him a check for $300. We gave him two certificates also. Attached are pictures of the ceremony we had last Thursday.
Shawn is an outstanding young man. He has great ambition. He wants to be a doctor. He did an outstanding job on both the Patriot’s Pen and VOD entries. Since he won district, I wouldn’t be surprised if he won Department. Heck, he could even win the whole national contest, a $25,000 scholarship. I was really happy to see what a great kid he is.
